Qualifications
- Typically include 3-7 years of legal practice with a technological concentration, or a similar combination of education and experience.
- A law degree (LLB or JD) and a license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Private practice, in-house experience, or experience with a regulatory authority governing business/group activities may be required.
- Knowledge of the legal field, often with a functional or business line focus.
- Understand the commercial and regulatory environment in which BMO Financial Group operates.
- Understanding of the subject area legal requirements and the activities of a single client group.
- Negotiation skills have been developed.
- Professional with a mix of education, experience, and industry expertise.
- Expertise in both verbal and writing communication.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities are advanced.

Salary: $88,400.00 – $163,800.00

Salaries will vary depending on region, skills, experience, education, and requirements for the position, and may involve a commission system. Part-time salaries will be prorated according to the number of hours worked on a regular basis. For commission roles, the compensation listed above is BMO Financial Group’s projected target for the first year in this position.
